The Inkwell

Author and songwriter Shel Silverstein's practice of ink lines on paper to create his poems, characters and stories inspired my love of a clean sheet of paper and a simple ink pen. I treasure utilizing sweeping line work to create sensations of undulating movement. Ellipses have represented numerous ideas and emotions in artwork throughout centuries: energy, life, emptiness, balance and fullness. I appreciate the continuous motion circles depict and use them often in my work.
